Startups as a driving force for the future.
Spainmedia reached me to create a set of illustrations that includes the cover and 6 interior pages of artwork for their first number of Forbes Startups, released in December 2022.

It was a great pleasure to know they referenced my previous work, requesting me to create the visuals with the aesthetic and tone.

The brief was clear and straightforward. This facilitated my understanding of their desire and allowed me to express my creativity in a meaningful way. I've begun to sketch quick drawings on paper to reduce the visual based on the description provided by the client.

The second step was creating detailed sketches that defined the final design, forms, and narrative. After all of the artwork was completed in Adobe Illustrator and then transferred to Adobe After Effects for additional embellishment. Finally, all were converted from screen to printable format.

Scroll down and examine all of the artwork and the method of creation.
Cover
A startup is a valuable idea, like a bright diamond. The original idea, suggested by the client, was having the classical image of a man in a garage.

But, the picture could have been more innovative to represent the startup concept, so I came up with some ideas, which you can see in the sketches section below.

Finally, with some back and forth, the client and I opted for this visual, which is simple and effective for the cover.
Madrid as Hub
The actual employment status in the Madrid region. How it has evolved over time, examples of success, and resulting projects that have been initiated. National impact and "Madrid's Brand" as a technologic hub.
Automotive
Safe, Sustainable, and Connected mobility.

Underlined projects in the magazine boost the ecological shift into big cities and car companies, providing preventive safety for car users.
Healthcare
Digitization of healthcare, including evolving platforms that facilitate mental healthcare.

The magazine spotlighted projects supporting the most vulnerable through telemedicine, "analytics" delivery, or computer-generated medicines created using new technology.
Food
Superfoods (to strengthen the immune system), saturated fat-free baked goods, and sausages.

New products from the ocean with a significant and sustainable impact on the future of food.
Fintech
The magazine section discusses the future of payments, online banking, and expenses derived from small and large businesses. Going through the crypto and the blockchain technology that supports them.
Life
A more informal section promotes Pink Albatross, a Spanish company that produces plant-based ice creams that are sustainable and acceptable to any intolerance.
